What is the Hemlock Happening?
The Hemlock Happening is a day of fun for all the family. It started in 2002 when a group of local people, the Bramcote and Stapleford Golden Jubilee Group, working with Broxtowe Borough Council, organised an event to celebrate the Queen’s Golden Jubilee. The Hemlock Happening was a day-long programme of performances (singing, music and drama) by local schools and other groups, It culminated in a fantastic firework display. The event has continued every year since then and now attracts many thousands of people who come to enjoy a great day out.
