Walled Garden Stage

Currently this page details the performances on the Walled Garden Stage that took place in 2011, but it provides a flavour of what is to come in Saturday 2nd June 2012.

Following the opening ceremony at 1.00pm, 10 local schools performed live. In order of appearance the schools were Wadsworth Fields Primary School, William Lilley Infants School, Bramcote Hills Primary School, Albany Infants School, Albany Junior School, Foxwood School, St Johns C of E Primary School, Fairfield Primary School, Bramcote Park Business and Enterprise School, and the Alderman White School and Language College.

Community performances followed from the Manushi Dancers, the Atmosphere Glee Choir and the Pushing Boundaries Inclusive Dance Company. The Stapleford Young People’s Centre also put on a great performance.

The evening started with ‘Crisis’, and the Beeston Musical Theatre Group. These were followed by jazz by the ever popular ‘Don Morrell’s Gin Mill Syncopators’ and the finale act for 2011 was The Feds at 9.30pm. The dance area was full of people enjoying the music and occasion.

The evening concluded at 10:30pm with a grand spectacular Firework Display that was well-received by the thousands of people present..

There was  a collection to help cover remaining expenses and to get the ball rolling for 2012, that was well supported as people left the event.
